Getting Rid of Friends

It was always a strange moment for Riku whenever he and Kairi were left alone whilst Sora went out with his brother Roxas for the day, he had been attracted to Kairi ever since they were kids whether or not he was aware of that fact back then was beyond him but he knew that he had always liked her.

He was currently watching her as she tried to battle through a computer game that she had been stuck on for the last few months, her tongue sticking out of her lips in concentration and she moved with her controller as she tried desperately to avoid being beaten by the boss again making Riku laugh.

"You can move as much as you want, it's not going to make you better at the game," Riku chuckled as he came around her and sat beside Kairi who was now glaring at him as she paused the game.

"It's not fair Riku, I've been stuck on this thing for ages and…" she whined and placed her head on his shoulder with a loud sigh making Riku's eyes widen a little but he just nervously patted the top of her head.

"I'll do it for you if you want," Riku offered with a casual tone and jumped as Kairi suddenly sat up and threw her arms around his neck.

"That would be awesome!" Kairi giggled and pulled back to beam at Riku who had drastically turned a bright shade of red and he cleared his throat before smiling back and taking the controller when Kairi finally let him go and then proceeded to cheer him on as he restarted the boss and battle.

When he had finished the boss battle, Riku threw his arms up slightly relieved that it was over as he hadn't been expecting the boss to be that difficult, considering how most of the things Kairi got stuck on in games weren't very difficult.

"Oh thank you so much!" Kairi gasped and once again threw her arms around him, smiling brightly before placing a kiss on Riku's cheek, "that would have taken me forever," she added a little shyer than before as her cheeks flushed slightly.

"It's not a problem Kairi," Riku waved his hands slightly and flicked his long silver hair out of his eyes, blushing darkly when Kairi shuffled closer to him.

"Can…can I confess something to you?" Kairi asked looking a little nervous with what she was going to say, her bright blue eyes moving to the chocolate coloured carpet shyly.

"Sure…everything alright?" Riku replied placing his hand on her shoulder and Kairi looked up at him with a small laugh and she whined again rubbing her forehead with her hands.

"Yeah um," Kairi licked her lips before crawling towards him until she was sat in between Riku's legs, her hands pushed deep in her lap, "I asked Sora and Roxas to leave the house for the day," she confessed and saw Riku's eyebrows go up curiously.

"Oh yeah?" Riku asked tilting his head to the side, "why's that?"

Kairi took a deep breath as her heart thumped against her chest hard and she couldn't help but feel her eyes fill up with tears through nerves and fear of what she was going to say, her hands coming up onto Riku's shoulders.

"To give me the chance to tell you that I like you, a lot," Kairi whispered and stared at the ground as soon as the words left her lips.

"Thank god,"

Kairi frowned and looked up to see Riku chuckling with his hand over his eyes, seeming to be blushing a lot worse than Kairi was at that current time.

"What?" Kairi asked before giggling as Riku's fingers moved and poked both of her cheeks.

"I like you too Kai, I would have confessed if I had an inkling that you liked me back!" Riku explained with a gentle smile on his lips and he pulled the pink haired girl towards him with care, placing a kiss on her forehead before tilting her head upwards with his finger so that their lips could softly connect in a sweet passionate first kiss.
